Our History

DARWYN P. FAIR founded the firm in 1985. Mr. Fair is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (SBM), the Wolverine Bar Association (WBA), which is the local chapter of the National Bar Association (NBA). He served as President of the WBA; Co-Chairperson of the WBA Attorney Referral Committee; Chairperson of the Economic Development Committee; member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer.

Mr. Fair has been a member of the SBM General Practice Section. He was a member of the SBM Representative Assembly, a member of the Law Practice Management Section, a member of the Character and Fitness Sub-Committee Panel and Scope & Correlation Committee. Mr. Fair was also appointed to the SBM Business Law Section-Technology Committee.

Mr. Fair has been awarded the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory's highest accolade: an AV rating.

Commercial Transactions

Drafting, revising and translating agreements; representing clients on mergers and acquisitions of companies in various industries; and engaging in due diligence preparation and follow-up.

Real Estate

Involved in property transactions and with legal issues such as mortgage, zoning, and transfers of titles and deeds. Oversees real estate purchases and prepare contracts, while ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Litigation and Appeals

Litigated extensively in the State and Federal court systems, including the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
